Loving our Potomac Conference Family!
We are delighted to serve our spouses and families of the Potomac Conference.
My name is Maureen Tapp, and it is my joy to serve as the Director of Ministerial Spouses for the Potomac Conference. For more than 40 years, I have had the privilege of being a ministry partner alongside my husband, Charles Tapp. Together, we are the proud parents of three adult daughters, two sons-in-law, one highly active grandson, and two wonderfully rambunctious grand-doggies!
Over the years, Charles and I have served throughout the Inter-American Division and in several conferences within the North American Division. Along the way, we have collected more than a few stories, countless wonderful memories, and experiences that have shaped our lives and our understanding of ministry.
One of the greatest joys of this journey has been the opportunity to fellowship, learn, and grow alongside brothers and sisters from many different places and cultures. Potomac Conference is home for us now, and we are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve this amazing family.
We are thrilled to support those who have chosen to serve in our “neighborhood.” We hope that Potomac will become more than just a place where our community serves— we pray it will become a place where they feel known, supported, encouraged, and at home.

Let’s Grow Together!
Welcome to the Potomac Conference Ministerial Spouses Ministry—a place where spouses of pastors and ministry leaders can find connection, encouragement, friendship, and support.
Ministry is a journey, and no one is meant to walk it alone. There are seasons of celebration, seasons of stretching, and occasionally those “Lord, give me strength!” moments. Through all of them, we are better when we walk together.
🌱 Stay Connected
We invite ministerial spouses throughout the Potomac Conference to stay connected through our various communication channels, including our private Potomac Conference Ministerial Spouses Facebook group.
This online community provides a place to:
- Share experiences and encouragement
- Request prayer and offer support
- Ask questions and seek advice
- Celebrate milestones and accomplishments
- Stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities
- Build meaningful friendships with others who understand the ministry journey
To help us stay connected, ministerial spouses are encouraged to keep their contact information current so they can receive invitations, updates, cards, and other ministry communications.
🌱 OUR SEED GROUPS
One of the ways we build meaningful relationships is through our SEED Groups. These groups connect ministerial spouses within geographic regions and provide opportunities for fellowship, support, spiritual growth, and service.
S — SUPPORT
We support one another through prayer, Bible study, shared experiences, fellowship, and meaningful time together.
E — ENCOURAGE
We create an atmosphere of hope through kind deeds, a positive word, a listening ear, and simply being present in one another’s lives.
E — EMPOWER
We share our stories, gifts, experiences, and resources—recognizing that each person has something valuable to offer.
D — DEMONSTRATE
We demonstrate God’s love to those we have been called to partner with in service—our spouses, children, extended families, congregations, and communities.
❤️ THIS IS WHO WE ARE
We are ministry partners—spouses of pastors and ministry leaders serving throughout the Potomac Conference.
🌿 THIS IS WHY WE EXIST
Our purpose is to provide support, connection, encouragement, and a network of friendship for ministerial spouses and their families.
We seek to create a welcoming community where spouses can develop relationships, share their experiences, grow spiritually, and discover meaningful ways to serve.
🙏 HOW WE WILL DO IT
We recommit ourselves each day to a loving relationship with our Heavenly Father, allowing His love to flow through us and into the lives of those around us.
Through prayer, fellowship, service, and intentional relationships, we can create a community where every ministerial spouse feels welcomed, valued, and connected.
You’re Invited!
Whether you are new to the Potomac Conference or have been part of our ministry family for years, there is a place for you here.
Get connected. Join a SEED Group. Participate in our gatherings. Share your story. Encourage someone else.
Most importantly, let’s grow together as we serve our families, our churches, our communities, and our Lord.
Welcome to the Potomac Conference Ministerial Spouses Ministry.
We are so glad you’re here! 🌱❤️
