MEDIA USAGE
The Potomac Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists (PCSDA) values the
role that photos, videos, and other media play in helping our faith community grow
and flourish. These visual tools tell our story, inform members and visitors, and offer a
glimpse of what to expect when attending our churches, schools, worship services, and
events. They also highlight the contributions of those who serve and help us communicate
our mission and vision to people who visit our website, as well as our digital and
print media platforms.
Accordingly, photography, videography, live streaming, and other recordings may take
place during services, ministry activities, seminars, programs, and other events. PCSDA
may use the media captured at these events in materials produced by or for the conference,
its churches, and schools. This includes, but is not limited to, bulletins, posters,
brochures, newsletters, printed publications, and digital media such as the PCSDA
website, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
By participating in PCSDA services, ministry activities, classes, programs and events:
(i) you consent to be photographed, videotaped or otherwise recorded; (ii) you grant
your permission for PCSDA to use recordings containing your image, likeness, voice or
statements, without compensation, credit or other consideration to you, for PCSDA
and its subsidiary organizations promotional, publicity and other purposes, throughout
the world and in perpetuity; and (iii) you agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify
Harmony from any and all liabilities and claims involving the use of your image,
likeness, voice or statements.
If you see a photo on PCSDA’s website or social media (e.g., Facebook) that includes
you or your child and would like it removed, please contact the Media Department at
richardc@pcsda.org.
Please note that we cannot remove your image from previously printed or published
materials, videos, or live stream recordings. Also, PCSDA has no control over the
recording, use, or posting of images by individuals outside of our staff (e.g., community
members or news outlets) and cannot remove content from media platforms or websites
not managed by PCSDA.
